Minimal impact on the environment
We carry out expeditions always trying to reduce impact on the environment. We have rules to get close to the cetacean life. We respect the reproductive
cycles of the birds, not bothering them by carrying out censuses. We work closely with the scientists and biologists. Obviously, we do not leave any residue in the area; we sail,
we use no engine, the energy being aeolian.
Contacts with the members of the community
Doradillo Velas is an association whose members are Argentine, French or English. We all live in Patagonia. Our main objective is to support scientific investigation
locally. The expeditions that we prepare will take you straight to the marine fauna. Our navigational zone is not inhabited. You share with our local friends more than just a
trip.
A reasonably priced trip
For a two- week trip you will be paying 990 euros maximum. If you try to find this on the Internet you might find similar options but double the
price. Doradillo Velas aims to achieve understanding and learning through participation in the preservation of nature.
A privilege
You would be integrating with a team of scientists and sailors. You would have the benefit of entering zones of difficult access by means of sailing. Our
cooperation with the biologists assures you of a deeper knowledge of the Patagonian ecosystem. On board you will be provided with specialized books on the marine fauna in Spanish, English
and French.
A rustic atmosphere
We logically promote small boats adapted to the Patagonian sea. The advantage of this is the use of some anchorages. This would also minimize costs and
maximize the covering zones for carrying out censuses of cetacean life. As the space on board is limited and shared, there is frequent camping on land.
Eco volunteering
We are enabling the tourist to become an eco volunteer, and through his practical and financial participation, he will partake in the conservational
programmes.
